Danielle Vernon-Carlton left her job as a teacher after her school denied a request for extended unpaid time off. She’s a mother of four, three step-kids who have special needs and require constant supervision and her young daughter.
She made the tough decision to stay home due to the cost of hiring caretakers and the fear of bringing the virus home.
